Every year, on 17 October, the CSI FORUM seeks to bring together CSI practitioners, NGO's (Non-Government Organisations) and Government to address the issue of poverty and related issues in South Africa. The CSI FORUM seeks to further promote the International Day of Poverty Alleviation, as proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly.
The ANNUAL CSI FORUM AND BUSINESS SUMMIT, has been running since 2002 and has received support from the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) of South Africa, The Prince of Wales Business Leaders Forum and the South African Department of Social Development.
Peter METCALFE, Executive Chairman, of the FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA, has chaired this event since inception.
