I attended the function held at the Crown Plaza last week and it was my first with the FDA. I must admit, I was blown away by you and what your organization is doing to assist and engage businesspeople in this country.
I am a young South African woman about to burst into the business world and cannot imagine what this experience would be like without the input of organizations such as yours.
My partner and I are inspired and challenged, and wish to convey our appreciation for your achievements thus far. Congratulations and well done on the January FDA networking function held at the Crowne Plaza in Johannesburg, South Africa on January 20.
In my personal and professional opinion it was an overwhelming success in all aspects. The turn out of 375 high-calibre guests at short notice underlines the seriousness and importance that the African business community is paying to the efforts of the FDA to unite towards a common goal of development and progress across the continent.
Further to this, it is also extremely gratifying to see the positive recognition now being bestowed upon the FDA by local and regional governments, NEPAD, SADC, worker and business organsiations such as NAFCOC, among others, all of whom had representatives in attendance.
I have been a keen proponent of the FDA and the 'I support Africa' project for a number of years now and have witnessed its growth anf growing influence with pride. In the early days it would have been difficult, if not impossible, for the FDA to orchestrate a meeting of the calibre of its latest networking function. Now I see you standing before almost 400 people in a five star hotel with the support and sponsorship of one of this continents finest financial luminaries ABSA and ably assisted by GEDA. Your committment and dedication to the 'cause' of the FDA, the continent and its people is more than simply commendable - it is inspirational. I for one am very grateful and proud to be associated in a very small way with your efforts.
What more can I say? Keep up the good work but be carefull, it won't be long before you will need a football stadium to get everyone in!
I wait in anticipation for further positive developments for the FDA.

As probably one of your newest "partner" members, I would like to heartily thank you for last night's BEE function. Quantitatively, the number of attendees speak for themsleves. Qualitatively, the calibre of speakers was truly remarkable. Each had something relevant to say to the audience. They each did so in a very interesting way. The networking session that followed was extremely beneficial. I and one of my co-directors met some fascinating, intelligent and truly "on-the-ball"people.
