is a private, 'not-for-profit', non-membership, organisation actively serving Africa by promoting processes conducive to sustainable development
......throughout Africa - with the emphasis on sustainability!
This organisation is currently rated as one of the most proactive Sustainable Business Development Organisations in Africa!

What is 'I SUPPORT AFRICA'?

THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA facilitates a campaign called "I SUPPORT AFRICA" - This campaign allows the "you and I" of this world to participate in Africa's Development and will continue to lobby support for Africa within the framework of the AFRICA RENEWAL

We encourage people to add their name to the list of 'Africa Supporters' as displayed on the I SUPPORT AFRICA website! This process instills a sense of participation and proclamation!

Where does your funding come from?

Funding always remains a challenge! Our efforts are often not recognised by "funders" for we do not measure our successes nor do we keep a list of all the business deals accomplished through our efforts!
We are a private 'not-for-profit' organisation and our efforts in promoting and facilitating processes conducive to Africa’s Sustainable Development are subject to normal overheads and costs!

Our only funding comes from your support!

Your participating in THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA - FDA TRADING PARTNERS PROFILE PROGRAMME contributes towards our efforts. This participation affords you the opportunity to 'SHOWCASE' your PROFILEf on our world-ranked/rated "africa business development" website and webpages by displaying your logo with links to your contact detail and to your own Website.

We receive no (and accept no) support from any government in Africa nor do we receive any support from organisations such as UNDP; AU; EU; AFDB and other organisations dedicated to Africa Development! We rely on our FDA Regional Representative to negotiate local support from their respective governments for support in this Africa initiative.

Most corporate organisations have focused their social/grant funding on their own Initiatives and/or Foundations leaving little or no funding available to organisations such as the FDA!

How did all this start?

In 1999 Peter Metcalfe, then a business consultant, conceived the idea to establish a 'club' for all who have a passion for the sustainable development and well being of our continent - Africa.

How can I get involved with Africa's Development?

We firmly believe that Sustainable Development is a process that must start from within!

Firstly, participate in the THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA - See:

Secondly, I would recommend that you identify a need in your local community - see how you could make a difference to that need - then initiate processes that will make a difference to those 'needs'! Keep us informed of where, when, how and what! We will then see how we could add value and possibly assist you to roll out the 'effort' to other communities.

We are also willing to feature any project that may add value to Africa's Development on our 'SPECIAL PROJECTS SERVING AFRICA' section!
