TUNISIA TRADE MISSION

I have just received the following email from Cassim NAKKOODA - International Operations - North Africa and the Middle East - Trade and Investment South Africa

Please be informed that President Mbeki and Minister Mpahlwa from South Africa will be visiting Tunisia on the 12th and 13th October 2004 for their inaugural state visit to this country.

The visit is aimed at consolidating South Africa's relations with Tunisia on both the political and economic fronts and is also intended to enhance solidarity with countries on the continent within the context of the African Union and NEPAD.

During the visit a South African - Tunisian Business Forum will be held with a view to forging links between the business community of both countries that would lead to increased cooperation in the areas of trade and investment. In addition to the business forum one to one meetings will be organised for the business delegation with relevant Tunisian organisations and companies.

An official invitation, a brief economic overview of Tunisia and areas for possible cooperation for your consideration and action is available to our South African FDA PARTNERS should you wish to join this high profiled delegation from South Africa to Tunisia.
