AFRICA ALIVE!
The positive vibe and energy oozing from Africa overshadows the few negative (mostly political) aspects still evident on our continent. Never before has such a positive, enthusiastic, confident and elated business mood prevailed throughout Africa.
"Less Aid - Lets Trade" - our motto - endorses this constructive mood!
The number of events/conferences/forums scheduled throughout Africa, for 2004, pays tribute to this statement while the growing list of business opportunities, currently available from our website, is enhancing the situation.
See UPCOMING EVENTS and BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES addressed elsewhere in this email.
How can I (we) participate in Africa\'s development - a good start would be to go to this WebPage:
Our guest speaker, Ms Buhle Mthethwa, Secretary General, NAFCOC (National) briefed us on pertinent issues on Empowerment - BEE Black Economic Empowerment, Black Business and other relevant issues in South Africa.
Ms. Buhle Mthethwa, an asset to life, is worthy of all our praises and as a token of our appreciation for her participation we have included her in our PEOPLE SERVING AFRICA - PROFILE - see:
The event was a huge success - I am told!
Some 367 guests managed to find their way into the auditorium to listen to the presentations. A full report, on this event, will be launched on our website this weekend.
Unfortunately we had to decline some 75 late RSVP\'s received after we had closed acceptance of RSVP\'s when we reached the maximum allowed number of guests.
Our next FDA NETWORKING FUNCTION will be held on 24 February 2004 - the topic \'communication\' - Please RSVP early!
As with the lack of participation the lack of communication (keeping our people informed) is regarded as one of Africa\'s principal constraints. This is an issue that needs to be addressed from the top down.
Relying on the mass media alone is insufficient - structures need to put in place to enable sufficient access to information - civil society provides a vital link to our people - these structures have to be capacitated in included in various deliberations.
Your comment on this will be appreciated:
A number of event organisers are using the information displayed on our website to plan their respective events to avoid a clash with current events taking place - see for yourself the extent of these events:
Kindly advise us of any events that need to be included in this comprehensive list:
Please feel free to submit any legitimate business opportunity for publication on our world rated website:
