NETWORKING IN CAPE TOWN
TIPS ON NETWORKING

I am ever so slightly 'over-extended' at the moment with some 130 emails waiting for my response - please be patient - I should be back to 'normal' by the weekend"

INVITATION
FDA 'FORMAL' NETWORKING FUNCTION - "ACCESS TO FINANCE"
TUESDAY 08 MARCH 2005

You are cordially invited to the FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA's next FDA 'FORMAL' NETWORKING FUNCTION, scheduled for Tuesday 08 March 2005, 18H00 for 18H30. This event will be held at the Hilton Sandton, 138 Rivonia Road, Sandton, South Africa.

The topic for the evening will focus on "ACCESS TO FINANCE" and will serve to educate and provide some 'answers' to this almost "evasive" issue.

Finance is 'supposedly' available in many forms!

Individuals and businesses, looking for finance, are well advised to do their homework and ensure the finance they obtain is best suited to their needs and their business.

There is much talk about billions of dollars available to initiate and capacitate businesses throughout Africa - yet access to this finance remains elusive. The Foundation for the Development of Africa recognizes that access to finance, or the lack of understanding the proper procedures on how to access this finance is often the problem, especially for the micro, small and medium enterprises. This is a major stumbling block in the development of Africa.

The FDA is proud to present this FDA FORMAL NETWORKING FUNCTION - "Access to Finance"

Our guest speaker is none other than Mr.Cas COOVADIA (Senior General Manager) The Banking Council of South Africa!

The ever-popular FDA NETWORKING SESSION will follow the presentation!

As usual there will be no cover charge - cocktail snacks and refreshments will be available.

The dress code is business; smart casual or traditional.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to GEARHOUSE SOUTH AFRICA for the technical assistance and technical equipment.

NETWORKING IN CAPE TOWN - FDA 'HAPPY HOUR' NETWORKING SESSIONS
Following my recent visit to Cape Town we established a solid relationship with THE KELSEYS COCKTAIL BAR at the elegant CULLINAN HOTEL, opposite the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

I arranged for a "casual get together" with our Western Cape contacts and although there was some confusion as to the eventual venue for this meeting - we did have a meeting and those present agreed that the Cullinan Hotel was the preferred venue and the ideal day would be Wednesdays from 17H00.

Therefore if you happen to be in South Africa (Cape Town / Johannesburg / Pretoria / Durban) you are welcome to attend our FDA 'HAPPY HOUR' NETWORKING SESSIONS as follow:
