WALKING THE TALK - COMMISSION ON AFRICA
I seem to perceive a sparkle of renewed energy emanating from the NEPAD secretariat thanks to the proactive positive interaction of the Commission for Africa.

At the current CFA meeting, in Cape Town, attended by a number of African Finance Ministers and a delegation from Europe, headed by Councilor Gordon Brown, the proposal, on how and what the international community can do more to support Africa's development, is being finalized.

You may recall I recently reported on my attending a workshop (November 2004) organised by the Commonwealth Business Council on behalf of the Commission for Africa. This independent international commission, set up by the United Kingdom (Tony BLAIR) held a series of workshops/discussion sessions to determine just what is needed to assist in Africa's development. This may well be the single most success aspect of the Commission - allowing for a process of participation!

If we can keep interacting (networking) a whole new Africa may emerge!

We will keep you informed on the content of this Africa (Commission for Africa) proposal - SEE:
