WHY AFRICA?
(All)

The FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA proudly presents you with the following information that may add value to Africa's development. Please direct any correspondence to: info@isupportafrica.com
WHY AFRICA?
For seven years the Foundation for the Development of Africa has diligently served Africa. Ever so often I am asked the question "Why do you do this?" My reply: I truly care 'for' Africa and her sustainable development".
When 'I' ask the question: "Why do 'I' do this?" - It becomes a matter of concern.
To stay motivated, in this daunting task, is not easy - until you receive one email, amongst the average of 125 emails we receive every day, which reads:
Dear Peter,
Please keep up the good work you are doing.
Everything you do is amounting to a lot. The results may not be so evident to you, yet much is being accomplished.
Rome they say, was not built in a day and a journey of one thousand miles begins with a step. In future, the history of Africa will not be complete without the mention of Peter Metcalfe.
You are a worthy ambassador.
Many thanks indeed for giving yourself to task of building Africa.
Ishaku.

It is encouragement like this that makes it all worthwhile. Notwithstanding all the non-response, the subtle criticism and other 'thank you - but no thank you' comments we receive when endeavoring to raise support for our efforts. We do know that we are reaching someone, somewhere.
Caring FOR Africa is a way of life - caring ABOUT Africa is a 9 to 5 job!
As mentioned before I have been invited to attend the OECD Global Conference on Investment for Development with the theme "Making it Happen" to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 25-27 October 2005. We urgently need support towards the cost of attending this important event - the cost for travel and accommodation will amount to ZAR17,000.00 or around US$2,600.00. Needless to say we would 'acknowledge' every contribution made on our world ranked website. - If you are able to contribute please do make contact:

For Africa to succeed in her efforts to develop and prosper ALL of Africa need to take hands.
The Foundation for the Development of Africa is in need of your support - our efforts are subjected to the same expenses/cost associated with any other business. We need to raise funds which will enable the FDA to attend two crucial international events that will have a profound impact on Africa's development.
Please - we need you to support our efforts - see:

Or participate in our FDA PARTNER PROGRAMME - see:

Peter I applaud you, though we cannot support you financially, be assured
that your efforts are greatly appreciated.
I could not agree more with you that commitment to Africa is a way of living - I am also quite often
criticized for the hours I work and the pace at which I am running, but like
you, it is my way of living, and knowing deep down that is what God has
called us to do p working together to make Africa a better place to live for
the people of Africa.
Please take courage and blessings from me, knowing that He, who sees in the
areas where no one else sees, will reward in the open - if not here on earth
certainly one day in heaven.
I wish you God's richest blessings and care of all your needs!

Hello Peter,
I am back now from New York on a business trip. I read all your emails, as
usual they are very educative and keep it up.
With regards to supporting your trip, I wish i could, but still I will
include you in my entreaty to God so that everything goes well and Africa
keep on shining because of your good work.
I am behind you in every effort
you make - to develop our Afica.

Hi Peter
As indicated before, I think you are doing a type of "the Kings work" and as
His child we all have to stay focussed. Yours is an amazing service to His
people.
Keep it up.
Warmest regards

My Brother
Though I may not be in touch with you on a regular basis, just know that my
heart and soul will always be with you, your family and the Foundation for
the Development of Africa. Till today I still read all your e-mails and I
couldn't agree more with Ishaku when he says the history of Africa will not
be complete without the mention of Peter Metcalfe.
I wish you luck in finding a sponsor for the conference.
Hope that you are doing well my brother and shout if there is anything at
all that you need.

Hi Peter
I certainly sense that you could be on a downer right now.
Take heart, nothing is easy! If it were others would be doing it as well. I want to endorse the remarks made by
Ishaku.
