FDA - SEASON GREETINGS.. ON A SAD NOTE
(All)
**********************************
The FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA proudly presents you with the following information that may add value to Africa's development. Please direct any correspondence to: info@isupportafrica.com
SEASON GREETINGS.. ON A SAD NOTE
Sadly my contribution to the Financing Local Government for Regeneration and Development conference in Dubai was abruptly cut short due to a burglary at my home/office. Miraculously my dear wife, Rosemary, opted to spend that particular night with friends.
Although we have lost most of our electronic appliances and clothing, the most devastating loss is our (FDA) master computer and more so the content of this computer. I did, as a rule, back-up most of our important files, database, etc., however, years of dedicated research and painstakingly filing of these researched documents and then years of emails sent and received have now been lost.
I will however not relent on my passion for pursuing Africa's sustainable development and would like to thank all my friends and family for their loyal support over the last few days. A special thanks to my daughters, Monique and Michelle and then also Wim DU PLESSIS, the FDA CEO, for being a pillar of strength to Rosemary during my absence.
Wim and I will be attending the OECD/NEPAD Africa Investment Forum in Brazzaville Congo next week - needless to say we will be providing you with a full report on this important event, on our return.
SEASONAL GREETINGS
It is that festive time of the year again and there is no doubt that many of you will soon be taking a well-deserved annual break.
May the Message of Goodwill, associated with the coming festive season, prevail and continue for you throughout the year 2007.
The Africa Trade Centre; the FDA (Foundation for the Development of Africa); the FDA/Africa Supporters; the FDA Trading Partners and all the participants of the 'I SUPPORT AFRICA' campaign wish you, your family, your friends and colleagues a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
We will not be closing (Africa never closes) and will be available to serve Africa diligently throughout this festive period - please feel free to make contact:
peter@foundation-development-africa.org or wim@foundation-development-africa.org
Opportunities are available for businesses to participate in the FDA TRADING PARTNERS - PRODUCTS AND SERVICES SERVING AFRICA, by sponsoring a category page providing for maximum exposure and product or service branding - this category page sponsorship is rather an attractive option.
For more detail on the various options - see:
www.fdapartners.net/products_services/add_your_products_services_options.htm
Take care
Peter

Oh no. This is most unfortunate.
I don't know whether you believe in what is written in the Holy Bible, if you do then know that the Lord God will restore to you and Africa what has been taken away.
He will send miracles and take you to a higher dimension.
Remember the goodwill you mentioned in your season's greeting is the restoration that Jesus brought.
Please be strong a of good courage.

Thank God Rosemary is okay and also thank God for ur life and the spirit of never giving up.

God bless u but for the thieves its a shame that they should even engage in that work and also attack an

Dear Peter,
What happened to your home and office is quite unfortunate.
Those burglars did this to the wrong people. People who are fighting for their cause.
I hope you could have a search for your computer, guess most of the other things will not be in a shape that you could re-use.
You could put a local ad for anyone with a computer with such contents to return it to somewhere neutral. This happens sometimes.
I pray that God strengthens and provides abundantly for your family.
I thank God that your wife and children were spared any agony of facing those criminals.
I hope to receive beforehand your programs for next year hoping to have finances to attend.

I am so sorry Peter to hear of your misfortune....maddening and I think we
can all identify with the irritation but yours will be so much worse as its
such a lot of 'important' material.
We just have to hold our nerve so to speak and not let it get us down too much.

Hi Peter.
Sadly such is happening in South Africa so frequently that it is the single most
damaging statistic to investor confidence. This has also happened with the
demise of the economy most notably in Zimbabwe.
Be strong and tell

So sorry to hear your bad news.
The only wish I can send to you is that they find your computer !!
Have you offered a reward?
Once when my bag got stolen in Alexandra, I offered a reward, and lone behold I got it back (minus the money
etc.....but that's not the things I could not replace) and then, I complained because I was still missing things of sentimental value, they
phoned me, and I met a woman who had more of my things .
Can you believe that!!
Hope your Christmas and New Year bring better things.

Hi Peter,
I am very sorry to hear about what happened to your offices.
I am certain that with your kind of positive spirit you will recover soon.
The scourge of crime in our country has become an irreversible threat due to the inaction of our authorities and in the process it is the law abiding citizens like you and more concerning a treasured community development activist who suffers a great deal of harm.
May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.

Dear Mr. Peter,
The Season' Greetings is not a Sad one but a Glorious one.
I thought l should not respond to this email but l later
deduced that no matter how brilliant and successful you are
in this programme, you are still a human being, hence you
need encouragement!
Thank God that no one died, secondly, you were witty enough
to have a back up; then all that happened was a challenge,
it could as well come from natural disaster like Fire,
Water etc.
I want to believe you are called for this job, the
emancipation of African in the economic terms, business
orientation, building trust and doing things right, these
you have been able to capture in a modicum way that has
affected the lives of those of us reading your briefs.
You can't give up and nothing can frustrate you, the
incident is just another lesson that you should beef up the
security around you and to know that Africans are hungry
and we should intensify in our drive.
God will continue to sustain you.
