*********************************** ACQUIRE PPP SKILLS THROUGH ONLINE TRAINING
We are constantly bombarded with news headlines pertaining to the lack of service delivery at Local Government or Municipal level. A number of reasons for this service decay are forthcoming. However the lack of skills, within Local Government - from Municipal Managers through to Municipal Cleaners - remains a big concern.
Service delivery or the lack thereof is not something unique to South Africa, where the people are currently protesting the loudest, the rest of Africa and even first-world countries are faced with this lack of service delivery problem.
Could PPP – Public Private Partnerships – impact positively on service delivery?
I have done some extensive research on this issue and gladly share these findings on the impact of PPP rollouts for local Municipalities, emphasizing the control that remains with the municipality, discussing the implications of an MSP (Municipal Service Partnership) and creating investor confidence - as a Municipality or Local Government.
However when it comes to PPP – Public Private Partnerships – who initiates this initiative? What happens next? How do you go about this Partnership? A host of questions jump to mind.
The SADC Banking Association, in cooperation with the Institute for Public-Private Partnerships (IP3), is offering PPP SKILLS BASED ONLINE TRAINING providing the know how to effectively identify, plan, procure, and monitor PPP – Public Private Partnerships – PROJECTS throughout a range of sectors.
Upcoming ONLINE training programmes include:
PPP SKILLS AND COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT
PPP PROJECT OFFICER MANAGEMENT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
The good news is that The Banking Association South Africa, acting in its capacity as the Secretariat for the SADC Banking Association, and with funding provided by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), has awarded a five-year contract to the Institute for Public-Private Partnerships, Inc. (IP3) to design, develop, and implement on a quarterly basis this intensive six-week skills-based ONLINE training programme. Furthermore, to facilitate and encourage participation from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region the SADC Banking Association is offering an Incentive Scholarship Fund to cover partial tuition fees to qualified SADC nationals and individuals from SADC-based organizations.
