THE FDA's REGULAR NEWSLETTER PRESENTS
HOW CAN I SUPPORT AFRICA?
24-07-2007
Brought to you from the desk of Peter METCALFE, Chairman,
"Participation Builds Unity"
"MADE IN AFRICA - FOR AFRICA"

"HOW CAN I SUPPORT AFRICA?"
Through a PPP (Process of Positive Participation)
All of Africa must take hands and become united in her efforts to implement the important AFRICAN RENEWAL PROGRAMME! Africa will succeed!
Lets create an investment climate through positive participation - Lets initiate and implement business projects, no matter how insignificant, that would lead to ‘job creation’ (employment opportunities) that would therefore ultimately stimulate our Africa economy - that would lead to prosperity.
"Participation Builds Unity"
The FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA provides this 'platform' to allow the "you and I" to participate in this development process and to allow the world to showcase products and/or services that will add value to (Africa's) sustainable development!
We prefer the phrase "Lets create wealth" as it 'rings' a more positive message than the "Lets alleviate poverty" approach!
How then can WE participate in AFRICA's well being?
First...... You are welcome to add your name to the growing list of names - all proclaiming - "YES - I SUPPORT AFRICA!"
Secondly...... support our trading partners - trade with or within AFRICA and abide to a number of business principals - most importantly "Good Governance"
Thirdly......
Please support our products and services providers serving Africa on our PRODUCTS AND SERVICES SERVING AFRICA website!

Nice initiative. That should maybe sent to those companies that claim to be ‘Proudly south African’ and get their products from Europe or china (MTN, Vodacom are an example) going against job creation.
Best regards

Dear Peter
It is difficult to feel like supporting the South African government if they keep on insisting that they need scientists, but yet those youngsters who have qualified in the science field such as MSc Microbiology, do not get a job in South Africa.
We have even been told that they were waiting for a person from England to apply for the post.
Yet that very post got advertised 3 times and each time a white South African male was not allowed to apply.
The University of Stellenbosch has a regulation whereby NO white males are allowed to be appointed and white females ONLY if the post has not been held by a white female previously.
Now, I am not against other races obtaining jobs, but if you take the time the youngsters who have obtained their advanced degrees e.g. Masters, you will find that they all went to school in a time when most schools were open to all races. They studied and made friends across the racial barrier.
Why do they now have to stand back as white males and be discriminated against? Why do we have to export our young, well educated people to other countries just so that they can make a living?
Kind regards
Ms Matthew
