The democracy I am referring to above is the participation of involvement of our people!
'Democracy' is a form of government in which the supreme power is held completely by the people under a free electoral system.
"Participation builds Unity" this phrase has been used with the FDA logo since we started serving Africa in 1999.
The NEPAD Secretariat refused to allow the people to participate in the NEPAD initiative, resulting in the people now snubbing the initiative. The LOC for the 2010 World Cup Soccer is heading for the same situation unless they start motivating the people to unite and participate!
During the various matches of the Ryder Cup the players and spectators oozed national pride, unity and loyalty, in all its glory - Something we need to restore in Africa!
The Americans took home the trophy but golf won the day.
The Ryder Cup is a golf trophy, donated by Samuel Ryder, which is awarded biennially in an event called the "Ryder Cup Matches" between teams from Europe and the United States. The matches alternate between sites in the United States and Europe - (Wikipedia)
