The AFRICA TRADE CENTRE AND THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA proudly presents you with the following information that may add value to Africa's development.

CNBC AFRICA - REGIONAL ROUND-UP

CNBC AFRICA, Africa's first and only pan-African real-time financial and business TV network, has invited me to expand on our unique project - PRODUCTS AND SERVICES SERVING AFRICA!

This discussion or interview will take place shortly after 16H00 on DSTV Channel 410, on Wednesday 01 July 2009, during the very popular Regional Round-Up Programme.

As mentioned before, this project entails a comprehensive database of products and services 'serving' Africa as well as products and services 'made' in Africa, that will provide a key element associated with facilitating trade and investment throughout Africa. The world will now have access to a rapidly growing database of products and services serving Africa - from agriculture to auditors, to chemicals, to engineering and financial services, to textiles and tourism.

This database will serve the Africa Trade Centre in its daily operations - see:
http://www.africa-trade-centre.com

Within the framework of LED (Local Economic Development), the I SUPPORT AFRICA CAMPAIGN - www.isupportafrica.com - recently launched the I SUPPORT THE CITY OF GEORGE www.isupportgeorge.co.za project. Here the Africa Trade Centre embarked on a local campaign to identify local products and local services made in and serving The City of George in the Western Cape Province, South Africa.

The success of this 'pilot' project has resulted in a number of municipalities across South Africa indicating participation.

The project has been 'introduced' to Zimbabwe and will soon be launched in Zimbabwe, with ZIMTRADE as the custodian of the project. We are also negotiating the project with a consortium in Nigeria.

We have reason to believe that this project will soon be active in every village, town and city throughout Africa.

Or watch me on CNBC AFRICA (410) at 16H00 on Wednesday 01 July 2009

CNBC Africa was launched on the 1st June 2007 and offers a unique global perspective from an African platform. With offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Nairobi, Lagos and Abuja, CNBC Africa is dedicated to the African CEO and senior corporate executive, the African financial services industry and the African investor.
