INTRODUCTION
All companies and organisations, adhering to a governance code, are subjected to evaluations. These evaluations are normally focused on the performance of the board; the executive team; the various committees as well as individual board members.
Importantly, these evaluations have to be done, at least, once a year.
The King Code (The Governance Code used in South Africa) provides (Chapter 2) useful guidelines regarding board; executive; committee and individual member evaluations.
However, as detailed in the King Code, effective evaluations are only possible once the board has determined its own role, functions, duties and performance criteria.
The objective of this assessment process is to deliver a host of assessment options such as:
BOARD ASSESSMENT(S) - (active)
further development is being undertaken for the following …
EXECUTIVE TEAM ASSESSMENT(S) - (coming soon)
COMMITTEE(S) ASSESSMENT(S) - (coming soon)
INDIVIDUAL BOARD MEMBER/DIRECTOR ASSESSMENT(S) - (coming soon)
RISK MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT - (coming soon)
.... and many more!

BOARD ASSESSMENT
This board assessment process will 'collectively' assess the board's current situation or maturity as well as the effectiveness of the board and its supporting structures.
On completing this board assessment, board members/directors will know, if they, the board members/directors, are: 'singing' from the 'same hymn-book' (charter; memorandum of incorporation; constitution; act etc.), as well as 'singing' from the 'same page', 'same verse' and the 'same line'...!
We have carefully prepared 64 QUESTIONS very relative to board functions. These questions are 'secretly' responded to by each member of the board. Each question requires a response ranging from: 'Totally Disagree' through to 'Fully Agree' also providing an option of: 'Not Sure' or 'Not Applicable'.
HEREWITH TWO TYPICAL QUESTIONS

On completion, of the 64 QUESTIONS, the board member will receive an immediate evaluation/assessment of their individual 'understanding' of the board functions.
A TYPICAL EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT (INDIVIDUAL)

These individual evaluations are then 'electronically' collated and condensed into a collective assessment.
A TYPICAL EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT (COLLECTIVE)

This final collective assessment outcome provides the board with useful insight as to the boards' overall assessment. Providing high performance functions as well as the short-comings.
Knowing the short-comings will assist the board to address those particular matters to ensure a common understanding.
The King Code concludes on this matter: "The board should state in the integrated report whether the appraisals of the board, its committees have been conducted. The report should provide an overview of the results of the performance assessment and the action plans to be implemented, if any."
Ultimatly this assessment process will provide the board with a PROGRESSIVE ASSESSMENT REPORT to be used in INTEGRATED REPORTS!
This online assessment process provides the user with a secure, dedicated, automated, user-friendly control panel with numerous options to administer the process.
