MARC VAN MOURIK

Born in Holland, schooled in France and after travelling the world, Marc has now settled in Durban, South Africa, where he ably serves as Guest Relations Manager for the Southern Sun Elangeni and Maharani.

Marc has spent most of his life in the hospitality industry, starting his career working on yachts and charters gaining and offering valuable experience to a number of bars, restaurants, game lodges and hotels.

His enviable ‘people’s person’ attitude was honed during his travels to countries like France, Italy, Greece, West Indies, Virgin Islands, South America, Central America, North America and Africa.

Africa became home to Marc in 1991.

After spending nearly four years on a Game Lodge in Northern Botswana, he moved to Durban where he successfully completed a National Tour Guide exam.

Marc is happily married and proudly boasts a daughter!
