Who is Accountable?

Economic development is reliant upon participating consumers who are now demanding product and service consistency. This paradigm shift, from consumers, has placed business and political leaders under pressure to ensure sustainable delivery.

Sustainable delivery demands strategy; precise policy; institutional frameworks; collaboration; adherence to governance principles; risk management; quality assurance; implementation; thus ultimately solid leadership!

Only when one understands these principles can one understand accountability - this is leadership!

Leaders who remain ignorant and who fail to acquaint themselves with current trends will, in the likely event of failing to deliver, have difficulty in explaining who and what was accountable.

It is therefore imperative that leaders need to ensure that they remain abreast of the latest techniques and criteria when directing the affairs of the business. Lack thereof could result in prosecution.
